Ideal for the most demanding forestry jobs, this chainsaw is excellent for working in extreme conditions when harvesting big timber. Chainsaw can be fitted to a saw frame. Fitted with a 2-MIX engine to comply with EU5 emission regulation and HD2 filter ensures long-service life. The MS 881 comes in 30, 36 and 41” bar lengths options with a .404” Rapid Super chain
HD2 filter The HD2 filter is made from polyethylene filter material with up to 70% finer pores than fleece and polyamide filters to trap even very fine dust. In addition, it is oil and water-repellent and thus very easy to clean. The PET-covered filter cartridge with quick-release lock enables the filter to be assembled and disassembled in next to no time, without using tools.
Decompression valve The decompression valve is part of the easy starting system. The valve should be pressed before starting to reduce the compression pressure when starting, as well as reducing the effort needed to pull the starter rope. The decompression valve is semi-automatic; it must be pressed manually before starting, but then closes automatically.
STIHL ElastoStart STIHL ElastoStart reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting. The compression shock is taken away from the user’s joints and muscles through a spring or rubber element in the starter handle.
Side chain tensioner The tensioning screw can be found on the side of the chain saw through the sprocket cover. This removes the need for contact with the sharp saw chain.
Variable-displacement oil pump Allows a precise, demand-based delivery of oil. It’s possible to reduce oil production by up to 50% in the E position. For very long cutting attachments or very dry wood, an additional volume of oil can be added by the user. similar to illustration.
Tool free filler caps Special catches on the fuel and oil tanks for easy opening and locking without the need for tools.
Anti-vibration system Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine’s engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
Single-lever master control All important functions such as start, choke, throttle and stop are operated via a single lever.
Compensator This controller in the carburettor prevents the fuel-air mixture getting richer as the air filter becomes clogged. The correct quantity of fuel is delivered to the carburettor depending on the quantity of air passing through the air filter. This keeps the fuel/air ratio in the combustion mixture constant and hence also the engine power. The filter doesn’t need to be cleaned until an appreciable drop in power occurs.
Ematic chain lubrication system The Ematic chain lubrication system ensures pinpoint lubrication of the saw chain links and guide bar rails. When used with STIHL OILOMATIC saw chain, it will provide maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption than conventional methods of chain lubrication. The Ematic system can reduce bar oil consumption by up to 50%.
Carburettor heating (V) By changing the chain saw from summer to winter operation, the intake air is pre-heated over the engine fins. This ensures that the carburettor does not ice up and you can continue working in freezing temperatures

Delivery
Most products are kept in stock, and we aim to deliver your order within 1- 2 working days. If the item is out of stock, we will keep you informed of any major delays. MowShop shall not be held liable for any delays in delivering goods, nor shall they be held liable for delays caused to customers work commitments due to your order not arriving on time. MowShop shall not be liable to customers for charges for hire of alternate machinery or labour. MowShop will not be liable for compensation of any kind due to late delivery of machinery or failure of machinery or damage to property from delivery. Delivery of products is usually 1-2 days from receipt of order and clearance of payment. Delivery of tractors is usually 3 – 7 working days after receipt of order. Products will be despatched to your preferred address directly from our distributors. A detailed receipt, together with a copy of the credit card payment receipt, will be posted separately to you.
Cancellation Rights: Returns & Refunds after delivery
In accordance with existing UK Distance Selling Regulations and the SafeBuy Web Trader Code you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods if you wish to return the items. To be eligible for a return, ensure that the goods remain unused and are retained in their original packaging and are in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. You must contact us before returning an item on 0345 222 1538, failure to do so may result in us being unable to action the refund process. We take no responsibility for items that are returned without prior contact or without authorisation from ourselves. You must return your products within 30 days of delivery at your own cost and risk. Returns should be sent to MOWSHOP, Allscott, Telford, Shropshire, TF6 5ED We will refund the price you paid for such goods within 30 days of the date of receiving the returned items, provided that the goods are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. Items returned without prior agreement will be refused and returned to sender resulting in you being liable for an extra charge from the couriers. If MowShop arranges to collect your items the cost to the buyer would be £36. This amount will be deducted from any refundable amount. If the returned item has been USED or isn’t in its ORIGINAL PACKAGING devaluing the goods resulting in handling them beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics or functioning of the goods we will deduct a reasonable amount from the refund, up to the contract price to cover us being unable to resell the item for its full value. We advise you take photos of the item and packaging before returning as a record of its condition, in the event of any damage acquired by the couriers when in transit. Please ensure there is no petrol or oil in the products and any batteries are disconnected before returning the items. Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. We will require a receipt or proof of purchase. The item must be boxed and package correctly as advised by the courier, a courier will refuse to collect the item if it is not properly boxed and we will charge for failed collections.
