This 36 V chainsaw fulfils even the highest demands for performance and working comfort and is the perfect assistant for property maintenance, horticulture, cutting firewood and sawing work in enclosed areas.
The 30cm guide bar can be used to saw easily through branches and small trees with a diameter up to 20cm.
It has plenty of STIHL-designed features like the Quick Chain Tensioning so you can tighten the chain without tools, the Ematic chain lubrication system which uses up to 50% less chain oil and the QuickStop Super chain brake. It has low vibrations too so it is comfortable to use.
The MSA 160 is part of the AP System PRO Cordless range of tools, with interchangeable batteries – it is not compatible with the AK batteries in the COMPACT AK Cordless System.

Run time on AP 200 battery: Up to 42 minutes Run time on AP 300 battery: Up to 50 minutes QuickStop Super Chain Brake (Q) The additional braking system for extra safety. Users can trigger the chain brake directly at the rear handle. The chain stops in seconds whenever the user lets go of the rear handle and whenever there is sufficiently strong kickback or when the front handguard is activated. This unique safety feature ensures even more user protection in all working positions.
STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning (B) The STIHL chain quick tensioning system (B) makes it very easy to tension the chain. Just release the sprocket cover and turn the knob to set the optimum tension. No tools needed.
Ematic chain lubrication system The STIHL Ematic chain lubrication system provides maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption that conventional methods of chain lubrication. The oil consumption can therefore be reduced by up to 50%.
Two-handled operation The ergonomically shaped handle and rear control handle with comfortable soft-grip component ensure safe working in all operating positions.
Operating handle The black soft component on the rear handle provides a secure and firm grip in all working positions.
Toolless filler cap The tank can be filled quickly and easily using the toolless filler cap.

Most products are kept in stock, and we aim to deliver your order within 1- 2 working days. If the item is out of stock, we will keep you informed of any major delays. Cancellation Rights: Returns & Refunds after delivery
In accordance with existing UK Distance Selling Regulations and the SafeBuy Web Trader Code you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods if you wish to return the items. To be eligible for a return, ensure that the goods remain unused and are retained in their original packaging and are in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. You must contact us before returning an item on 0345 222 1538, failure to do so may result in us being unable to action the refund process. We take no responsibility for items that are returned without prior contact or without authorisation from ourselves. You must return your products within 30 days of delivery at your own cost and risk. Returns should be sent to MOWSHOP, Allscott, Telford, Shropshire, TF6 5ED We will refund the price you paid for such goods within 30 days of the date of receiving the returned items, provided that the goods are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. Items returned without prior agreement will be refused and returned to sender resulting in you being liable for an extra charge from the couriers. If MowShop arranges to collect your items the cost to the buyer would be £36. This amount will be deducted from any refundable amount. If the returned item has been USED or isn’t in its ORIGINAL PACKAGING devaluing the goods resulting in handling them beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics or functioning of the goods we will deduct a reasonable amount from the refund, up to the contract price to cover us being unable to resell the item for its full value. We advise you take photos of the item and packaging before returning as a record of its condition, in the event of any damage acquired by the couriers when in transit. Please ensure there is no petrol or oil in the products and any batteries are disconnected before returning the items. Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. We will require a receipt or proof of purchase. The item must be boxed and package correctly as advised by the courier, a courier will refuse to collect the item if it is not properly boxed and we will charge for failed collections. The product remains yours until successfully received and signed for by a member of Mowshop.
